Revamp It!

Season 2 of Project Runway Australia started this week and I love it already! We've seen some divine designs and hideous creations, in week one!

And it looks like the new season of US Project Runway starts this weekend (yay, LOVE it just as much as the Aussie one!)

So I thought, why not mark the new season/s of Project Runway Australia and US by creating a challenge....

Take a piece of clothing - either one you have hanging in your wardrobe already - or, as I have done - buy it from the Op Shop/Goodwill/Thrift Store/garage sale - anywhere....
and REVAMP IT!
OR if clothing is not your thing - you could revamp a hat, purse, handbag, shoes, doll's clothes....

To join in the fun you'll need to do the following:

Make sure you take BEFORE PHOTOS

Take DURING PHOTOS

and of course, AFTER PHOTOS

so we can see

what you had to play with with,

where you were taking it,

and what it became!

Create a post on your blog on FRIDAY AUGUST 14th, 2009, showing these pics, and any product suggestions or tips on how you revamped your fabulous garment

Visit my blog and let me know you're up and running and I'll add you to the list of participants on the day.

All participants will go into a draw to win your choice of THREE unframed canvas prints that you can find in my
shop/lollishop/etsy !!

If you'd like to join in - feel free to snag this image below and add it to your blog sidebar with a link to this blog post. (click it first to maximise the size)

I'm revamping this vintage nylon nightie.... you'll see it again on August 14th!

I hope you will join me!

Hi,

I wanted to write and tell you about a new website for fashion designers, artists, musicians, and filmmakers: www.PutItOn.com. I've been using the site as an artist and have my work there, and am trying to support. Basically, the site allows artists from all over the world to connect, display their portfolios, and sell their work (with no commission taken). The site gives artists a free gigabyte of space to showcase their portfolios, allows you to stream audio and video works, lets you create live personal broadcasts, and translates any writing into ten different languages. If you could take the time to visit the site, and if you like it too, let your readers know about it, and even sign up yourself or link to it on your site it would be greatly appreciated! We are trying to make a go of helping out artists everywhere and are trying to get the word out, so please help us out if you like the site after checking it out!

Thank you!

Hi Natasha,
I would love to join in with your 'Revamp it' challenge! I have a 'delightful' bri-nylon nightdress that needs help - thank goodness they no longer make nighties from that stuff!
;-))

I don't know what Project Runway is (being in the UK), but hopefully that won't matter...

Happy Vamping!

Can't ever remember that the Seasons are different in AU than in the US. It's quite HOT here today and I'm thinking some ice cream would be perfect today.

Oh I just simply love this project...I would really like to join, it is just that I will leave on the 11th and I will not be arround a computer for about 3 weeks...Is there any other way I could do it? Maybe post my project before I go, or something??? If not, well, I'm sure you will organize others like this one! :) Great great community of blogging, I am so excited every time I find people from around the world who share the same interest as myself...:)
Take care,
Erika
